In 1989, a young carpenter with a vision set forth to build a wedding hall made out of wood. He named it simply, "Garden of Eden", inspired by the beauty of its surroundings. This marriage between vision and natural beauty, made the hall famous overnight. A second smaller hall was built a few years later. Though the years, the halls in Zurrieq have undergone refurbishments and upgrades, however they have always retained their original, trademark wooden structure which makes them unique to this day. With their open plan layout, and large glass doors, the halls were tailor-made with wedding functions in mind, designed to make the special day one to remember.
Situated just outside the picturesque town of Zurrieq and immersed in typical Maltese countryside, Eden Lodge boasts to be situated on one of the highest hills in Malta, with overwhelming and breathtaking views of the sea, the surrounding towns and villages and the Wied Babu valley below.
Fully refurbished as of April 2008, Eden Lodge is the decorated and furnished in true Maltese classical-rustic style. The design of this hall provides the ultimate feeling of space, with a large bar in its centre that can cater for both the inside and outside guests. With a large mature garden and its famous terrace, Eden Lodge provides a fantastic indoor and outdoor wedding experience.
An open-plan design that goes beyond one’s expectations, with full glass doors that enable uninterrupted garden and countryside views even from the inside. The hall accommodates up to 500 guests inside whilst 250 more can enjoy the large terrace and garden. Parking facilities are available. No restrictions are imposed on catering services. The hall enjoys full wheelchair accessibility and facilities.
Adjacent to Eden Lodge, Cottage Gardens is the second hall within the Garden of Eden Halls Complex. Back dropped by the island of Filfla, Cottage Gardens enjoys spectacular countryside and sea views, including the Wied Babu valley beneath.
Truly rustic and full of typical Maltese features, the layout of Cottage Gardens offers setting which is very close to nature, with the hall fully structured in wood, wooden beams, and large glass doors. The design of this hall offers a distinctive feeling of space, whilst still maintaining an intimate surrounding.
