Getting Into The Frame

A good photographer, like a good child, should be seen and not heard. A really good photographer should not even be seen. It’s all a question of style, because when you get down to it style is what good art is all about. Yes, wedding photography is art, because the photographer has to be an artist - not just to keep the client happy, but to set and maintain certain standards - both within the business and for his own satisfaction.
For Charles, keeping the client happy is the aim, because ultimately the day belongs to the bride and groom and his work, his art, is a testament and record of their union. When he goes behind the camera you know that you could never be in better hands. A professionally qualified photographer with many years of wedding experience behind him - nobody else can quite appreciate the amount of energy that goes into producing a wedding album.

The bottom line though is this, that day is yours to enjoy, it should be engraved in your hearts forever, and let nobody tell you it shouldn’t be the happiest day of your lives.

With this in mind Charles Calleja aims to keep you comfortable and relaxed while he shoots some ‘traditional’ wedding shots, because that is what good wedding photography is all about. He emphasizes a mixture of traditional shots, incorporating a contemporary style to create something ‘different’.

When you come to our studio to view the images, you will find that you did not realise half of the photographs were ever taken. Not exactly candid camera, but the aim is to capture the atmosphere and the spirit of the wedding, in a relaxed setting and casual mood.
Marked with quality aimed for customers’ satisfaction, Charles works to the highest standards.

Customer satisfaction is our aim, Quality is our mark. With this motto in mind, I set to establish in Malta a dedicated photographic service to excel in the social, commercial and advertising field. Since established in 1990, I have built a healthy portfolio ranging from private clients to large corporations and advertising agencies. Even though I feel a natural inclination towards architectural and studio product shoots, the Maltese market, being as small as it is, limits specialisation in any one field of photography. This fact has helped me when building up company profiles since the subjects vary from portraits to architectural and industrial photography. Having a fully equipped studio, I am capable of implementing various techniques to produce a superb portrait and more complex lighting arrangements for commercial photography. Never content with a “status quo”, I always strived to improve my professional standards. I am now acknowledged by two major professional bodies and constantly encouraged to advance in my qualifications.

In 2005 we closed our shop and moved to a new set-up. This enabled us to be more efficient in meeting the demands of my respected clients since now we can concentrate on giving a good service and do not worry about sales items.

A picture can tell more than a thousand words.
