  • Platinum rings are white and can be confused for white gold. However they do not thin out, and do not turn yellow with time.
  • Platinum Rings are much more expensive than Gold Rings, because platinum is a metal even more rare than gold and therefore more precious.
  • Gold Rings tend to 'thin' out through heavy use or with time. They can always be plated again so to get their original thickness.
  • Yellow gold rings are traditional, although white gold is increasingly being used. However white gold tends to become yellowish with time.
  • Many couples leave the wedding rings till the last month which may be too late especially if you want to have platinum rings instead of gold. Gold rings need maybe a week or two to be fixed according to your finger size, but platinum (and rings with patterns) may need to be sent abroad so one needs up to 8 weeks sometimes.
